On 4th April 2019, SP and CI-ENERGIES (Energy Society of Ivory Coast) have signed a contract, of the duration of 44 months, involving the project management of the rehabilitation works of Buyo hydropower plant and the feasibility studies for the rehabilitation of Ayamé I & II, Taabo and Kossou HPP. This contract is included in the framework of a great relevance program, aimed to the improvement of Ivorian energy sector, promoted and financed by the Development French Agency.
This project aims to strengthen the Ivory Coast energy productive capacities, supporting the economic and industrial growth of the country. Actually, it will be necessary the requalification of some of the above mentioned over-aged plants since they suffer consistent leaks.
The project will also permit both to guarantee the security of the structures, of the personnel and of the residents involved, and to reduce the social and environmental risks.
