Studio Pietrangeli has completed for the Consorzio della Bonificazione Umbra the safety assessment of the Marroggia dam, located in Umbria, Italy.
Marroggia is a gravity dam in cyclopean concrete built about 70 years ago. It regulates the flows of the Marroggia river, for irrigation use and lamination of floods.
SP carried out the evaluation of current conditions, including stability and seismic studies, and the preliminary design of interventions for the stability improvement. The activities included the topographic survey with the latest generation of drones, planning and execution of all the investigations necessary.
