SP has recently signed a contract with the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the engineering of a new reservoir called Plaine Hollandaise, located in Praslin, the second largest island in the Seychelles.
The assignment includes the design of a dam, water treatment plant and a connection to an existing water network in order to provide sufficient water storage capacity on Praslin Island.
This project is part of the Seychelles Water Development Plan 2008-2030 (SWDP) supported by the Public Utilities Corporation. The aim of the plan is to optimize the use of existing resources and improve the water supply, mainly during the dry season, in the Seychelles.
