Among the engineering services provided by Studio Pietrangeli (SP) for decades, the design of high voltage transmission lines is one of the main ones.
SP’s portfolio consists in over 10 000 km of HV transmission lines, in more than 35 countries. Among the most relevant projects there are many international cross-border interconnectors of both HVDC and HVAC type such as the Gabon‐Congo, the Kenya‐Tanzania, the WAPP Median Interconnector, the Ruzizi multinational project (DR Congo, Rwanda and Burundi) and the Batoka Gorge transmission system in Zambia and Zimbabwe.
